Happy 4th of July!

Here are places to watch the 4th of July fireworks celebrations in the greater Austin Area

🎆 Top Viewing Spots Around Austin

1. Vic Mathias Shores (formerly Auditorium Shores)

  • Why it’s great: Home of the Austin Symphony Orchestra’s 4th of July concert & fireworks. Great lawn space and direct view over Lady Bird Lake.   There are free and paid options. For more information, visit  Star Spangled Fest

  • When: July 4, 2025 | Concert starts ~4 pm, fireworks ~9:30 pm

  • Map link: Vic Mathias Shores

2. Zilker Park & Lou Neff Point

  • Why: Expansive green space & scenic hills; Lou Neff gives stunning lake skyline views.   This will give you a great vantage point to see the fire works right over the water with reflections of both the sights and sounds.

  • Map link: Zilker Metropolitan Park

3. Congress Ave / Pfluger Pedestrian Bridge

4. Barton Creek Square Mall Parking Lot

  • Why: A favorite local spot with broad views and easy parking.  This is a relatively no hassle way to see the fireworks, but get there early, it can get a bit crowded.

5. Mount Bonnell or Pennybacker Bridge Overlook

6. Lady Bird Lake – Kayak/Canoe

  • Why: Unique experience from the water, right under the fireworks.  This is a spectacular experience highly recommended.  If not this year, put it on your list of things to do.  If you like to be on the water and see fireworks, this is a great combination.

  • Tip: Rent early from Texas Rowing Center, or the Rowing Dock,
